Egypt's Exports to Romania Jumps 51%

The value of Egyptian exports to Romania jumped by 51.1% during H1 of 2021 to reach $100.4 million compared to $66.5 million, year-on-year.

Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) showed on Wednesday that the value of Egyptian imports from Romania decreased by 18.9% to reach $339.5 million during H1 of 2021, compared to $418.3 million, year-on-year.

The value of trade exchange between Egypt and Romania recorded $439.9 million during H1 of 2021 compared to $484.8 million, year-on-year, with a decrease of 9.3%.

The value of remittances from Egyptians working in Romania amounted to $4.8 million during the FY2019/20, up from $3 million during the FY2018/19, recording an increase of 62.2%.

Data indicated that the value of the remittances of Romanians working in Egypt amounted to $1.6 million during FY2019/20 fiscal year, down from $2.6 million, with a decline of 36.2%.

Meantime, the number of Egyptians in Romania reached 2,000 until the end of 2020.
