Egypt’s Cairo Tower in Zamalek district will be lit up tonight to mark the 30th anniversary of Armenia state and its independence day and as a tribute to all freedom fighters of Armenia who sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle of the country.
Accordingly, the Cairo Tower will light up from 7.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. in salute to Armenian leadership and its nation builders.
In a step intended to enhance their bilateral relationships, the Cairo tower is set to be illuminated in the colors of the Armenian flag in honor of Armenian Independence Day.
In a statement released by Armenia’s embassy in Cairo, it was stated that “Egypt’s Cairo Tower is set to celebrate Armenian Independence Day as it illuminates in the colors of the Armenian flag as an expression of the bonds of friendship between the countries.
On this historical day, Egyptian citizens took to social media to sent best wishes to the people of Armenia as they celebrate the 30th anniversary of their independence.
It’s noteworthy to mention that Armenia officially gained independence from the Soviet Union on 21 September 1990.
