The head of the Egyptian community in Berlin, Alaa Thabet, issued a warning to the Egyptians in Germany through a video recording message this morning, Friday, calling on them to be cautious and take all precautions to prevent infected with the new Coronavirus.

“It’s a dangerous situation in the whole world, even in Germany itself, which has the strongest health system in the world,” Thabet said.

He noted that he is always in touch with the Egyptian expatriates living in Germany to help them if necessary.

He claimed that one of the Egyptian expats in Germany was infected with the new coronavirus, (COVID-19), after being admitted at hospital for six months, adding that “This means he had been infected with he new virus from the hospital’s staff.”

In the meantime, he expressed his surprise that such infection scenario would happen in Germany, which has the strongest health systems- the locomotive of Europe in all economic and health fields.

Therefore, he added that the matter is very dangerous, advising citizens in Egypt that “We all must actually stay at our homes in Egypt.”

On his part, he manifested that he stayed at his house for three weeks in Germany and minimize contacts with all surrounding persons, adding that “My kids have not seen me for a month.”

He said that we all go through exceptional circumstances, so everyone must unite to overcome them. We need to help the government and decision-makers, by sticking to our homes. We, as Egyptians, have awareness and we are descendants of the Pharaohs, according to Thabet.
