 Egyptian Senate Recommends Hosting   Electric Car Race to Stimulate Sports Tourism

The Egyptian  Senate, headed by Counselor  Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek, referred the report of the Youth and Sports Committee on the proposal submitted by Senator  Mohamed Farid about “hosting the Formula E championship.

The submitted motion pointed out that this race has positive effects on the Egyptian state,” in order to develop sports tourism in Egypt.

The report of the Youth Committee on the proposal said: “Sports tourism is one of the most important types of tourism that contribute effectively to revitalizing the movement of tourism, whether internal or external and thus raising the level of the economy by holding tournaments and sports competitions.

The newly adopted electric races attract large numbers of tourists for the purpose of watching these sports competitions.

The importance of the "Formula E" race is represented in many aspects, including sports, tourism, and economics, as many countries have come to rely on this major annual event as a major component of its promotion in various international forums.
