"Dar Al-Maaref" for Publishing and Distribution has issued the first book in the world on the Coronavirus "COVID-19". The fresh issued book appeared in a series known as Iqra'a (Read).

How do we defeat the Coronavirus?

The title of the book is (How do we defeat the Coronavirus?). It discusses everything related to the beginning scenarios, methods of infection, incubation, symptoms and prevention.

Author of the book is Dr. Fathi Faraj, professor of physiology at the Faculty of Science, Menoufia University.

He simplified and explained the scientific research that has been developed around the deadly virus until right now. The author took three weeks to write the book.

It was supposed to be published on April 1st . However, it had not occurred for the absence of the staff of the Egyptian National Library and Archives who are responsible for granting the deposit number.

Dr. Faraj says: "This disease has become a preoccupation for the whole world, especially as it has political, economic, social and medical impacts. The disease also has physiological fallouts. It changes man’s vision of himself, the world, and the other."

So the reader must find in the book what enables him to understand and acquaint with this hidden enemy, away from the fallacies of the Internet and widespread rumors. The author added that the book explains everything related to viruses and the differences between them at first and then everything that was known about "COVID- 19" so far. He shed light on transmission, symptoms, prevention and how to reach full recovery from the disease.

He phrased the scientific material in a simplified prose that is suitable for all groups of society, from doctors to the ordinary public. The author continued to say that human immunity is the first blocking wall in front of this disease. He explained methods and mechanisms to support human immunity.

The author was keen to answer questions through examples, such as can the recovered person transmit the disease to healthy people, and the answer is no.

The immunity system holds the viruses that infected the body and prevented them from them copying themselves again.

Hence the infection won't be transmitted to others. The public inquiry whether bodies of the dead transmit the infection? This cannot happen because the bodies of the dead are placed in special bags that prevent anything from leaking even liquids and gases, before sterilizing those bags from the outside and then re-covering them in layers of plastic.

More questions will be answered over a new chapter that appears in the second edition of the book. It is noteworthy that Dr. Faraj has authored up to 35 books covered scientific, religious, and literary topics The books were issued by Dar Al-Hilal, Al-Jahouriyah, and Ketab El-Youm.

He also served as the editor-in-chief of the Scientific Culture Series at the General Authority of Book. He published 12 books then, and he issued three other books in the series Iqra'a “Read”. Titles of the latter three books are : Conquer Diabetes to Live in Safety, Biology of Love and Marriage and Celebrities Discarded by Media.
