Egyptian Pound Continues to Rise Against Dollar

The price of the Egyptian pound continued to rise against the US dollar in 13 banks at the end of trading today by about 4-5 piastres.

According to the data of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), the pound achieved gains worth 3 piastres against the dollar to register EGP 15,83 for purchase, and EGP 15.93 to sell.

The pound rose at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr by 3 pt. to record EGP 15.85 for purchase, and EGP 15.95 for sale.

The Egyptian currency rose by 5 piasters at the National Bank of Greece and the Misr Iran Development Bank to record EGP 15.81 for purchase, and EGP 15.93 for sale.

The dollar dropped by 4 pt. at Bank Audi and Credit Agricole, registering EGP 15.83 for purchase and EGP 15.93 for sale.

The pound exchange rate also rose against the greenback at the Commercial International Bank (CIB) by 3 piastres at  EGP 15.83 for purchase, and EGP 15.93 to sell.

At the Arab African International Bank (AAIB, the dollar declined by two piastres to reach EGP 15.84 for purchase, and EGP 15.94 for sale.

It is noteworthy that the exchange rate of the Egyptian pound continued to rise more than 14 pt. in a week against the US currency.
