Egyptian Non-oil Exports Increase by $71 Mln

Latest official figures reveals that the Egyptian Non-oil exports achieved a remarkable increase last September.

According to government data, the value of exports amounted to about $2098 million, compared to $2027 million in September 2019, with an increase of about $71 million, and an increase of 3.5%.

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) monitored a decline in petroleum exports, in contrast, as they amounted to about $250 million last September, compared to $367 million in the same month in 2019, a decline of about $117 million.

The data indicated that petroleum imports fell to $486 million last September, compared to $732 million dollars in the same month in 2019, with a decline of $246 million, a decline of $33.6%, and non-oil imports decreased to record $4547 million in September, compared to $5662 million in the same month in 2019, a decline of about $1115 million, and a decline of 19.7%.

Egyptian exports of finished goods amounted to about 1,111,000,000 last October, compared to $1,096, 000,000 in the same month in 2019, with an increase of $14,834,000.

Among the most important exported goods came pastries, which amounted to $64,503,000 last October, compared to $63,195,000 in the same month in 2019, an increase of $1,308,000.
