Rania A. Al-Mashat, Egyptian minister of international cooperation, met with Paul Garnier, Swiss Ambassador to Egypt, and Dr. Valerie Liechti, head of the Swiss International Cooperation Office, to discuss Egypt-Switzerland bilateral economic relations for the time period from 2021 to 2024.
This comes within the framework of the ministry’s mission to nourish and enhance economic cooperation relations between Egypt and international and regional states and organizations.
Mona Ahmed, sector head of the Ministry of International Cooperation, Sherihan Bakhit, associate to the minister handling the Americas and Europe portfolios, and Daila Sadeq, associate to the minister coordinating the European Union and the European Investment Bank portfolios, attended the meeting as well.
Al-Mashat centered her debate on focusing on renewable energy, climate change actions and women’s empowerment. In addition, she discussed the engagement of the private sector in the national development framework. Al-Mashat and her team are focused on utilizing 2021 to improve the public and private dialogue through a sustainable and green economy.
