Egyptian Legendary Poet, Author Fouad Hajjaj Dies at 92

This morning, Egyptian poet and author Fouad Hajjaj, known for writing the intro and ending lyrics for the famous series "Hadeeth Al-Sabah W Al-Masaa", died at the age of 92.

The tragic news was announced on Hajjaj Facebook page. The cause of death was not revealed.

Hajjaj was born in 1928, and published his first book in 1971 under the title "Valley of Fear", in which he lamented the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser with three successive poems. In 1973, he published his second book, called “In The Court”.

Moreover, he has accomplished a joint study along with the artist Ibrahim Al-Azhari, Secretary General of the Workers' Union, entitled "Workers and Theatre".

The author also wrote significant works, such as a book entitled "Trial of Naguib Mahfouz's Personalities", "The Light of the Fire", "Fatafeet Al-Jamr", and "The Train of Stories".
