Egyptian Female Doctor Named as GGA for 2019

CAIRO, Feb. 10 (SEE) - Founder of LinkedIn Global Goodwill Ambassadors (GGA) announced last week that Dr. Amira El-Houfey of Egypt had been named as a Global Goodwill Ambassador for 2019 because of her charitable contributions.

Houfey, who is an associate professor at the Department of Community Health Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, Assiut University, received last year award as one of the most influential women scientifically in Egypt for 2017-2018.

The prize was given by Tahya Misr Institution and Oxford Academy for Consultancy and Specialized Sciences because of her outstanding efforts in the scientific field.

But the awards aren't her goal, it comes by the way because the majority of her works volunteer and honorary positions for helping others by her scientist and mental qualities. For example, she works for volunteer nursing staff at the Saudi and Egyptian Red Crescent as well as a volunteer at UNICEF.

She wrote and published nearly 42 international researches and five publications on Amazon, including but not limited to Violence against vulnerable population group, Nursing and infection control strategies, Keep the environment clean, Guidelines to Prevent Youth Health Risky Behaviors, and Mobbing at University.

In statements to SEE, Houfey, who is also an Associate Professor at Jazan University in Saudi Arabia, thanked the Egyptian Foreign Ministry and its Consulate at Jeddah for their efforts and great cooperation for informing and giving her the international certificate.

She is also a director of International Federation of Journalism, information and creativity and Communication technology in London - Saudi Arabia office, an executive consultant of the Egyptian national council of the women, a member of World Health Organization Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean Region, a member of International Council for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance, and manager of Training and community services Unit at Jazan University.

"Many thanks for GGA for nominating me especially Richard DiPillaو the Founder Global Goodwill Ambassadors, and Marion BaeckerFromlet the Chair Egypt (GGA). I dedicate my award to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and all Egyptian peoples, also for Assiut University," She added.

"This is an honorary position but means a lot for her regarding uniting humanitarians worldwide for transmitting the message of peace, love, and cooperation worldwide," Houfey further said.

Egyptians are so proud of her as she is a good example for the Egyptian women's thanks for her great and valuable efforts.
