Egyptian Community in France Welcomes President Sisi’s Visit

The Egyptian Community in France confirmed on Saturday that all its members are welcoming the official visit of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the French capital, Paris, in light of the two countries' keenness to strengthen strategic relations and address bilateral and regional issues.

In a statement, the community expressed support for the president’s steps to preserve Egyptian national security and build the nation through national projects adopted by state institutions on all tracks.

The community also highlighted the importance of the visit to discuss many files of common interest in the economic and cultural fields in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and achieves their common goals, especially maintaining the distinguished relations between Egypt and France.

Noteworthy, President El Sisi is paying an official visit to France today, Sunday, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Rady said that the visit comes within the framework of the two sides ’keenness to develop the strategic relations between Cairo and Paris.

“Both leaders are expected to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations during the coming period,” he added.

Sisi and Macron will hold a summit on Monday so as to address all aspects and issues of bilateral relations between the two countries as well as joint political coordination towards regional and international issues.

During the visit, Sisi will meet with French statesmen and officials such as Prime Minister, a number of ministers and the Presidents of the National Assembly and the French Senate.

“These meetings aim to present the Egyptian vision of regional crises and how to deal with them, especially those related to the eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East region,” the spokesman noted.

The visit will tackle also increasing joint cooperation between the two countries and strengthening bilateral relations, especially in the investment and commercial fields, in light of Egypt’s efforts to encourage and attract foreign investments to participate in major national projects within the framework of the comprehensive development process that Egypt is witnessing.
