EgyptAir, Sudan Airways Sign MoU to Stimulate Travel, Aviation Traffic

EgyptAir and Sudan Airways signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) which includes the training of Egyptian Air cadres for Sudanese Airlines workers in the fields of piloting and air hospitality.

The agreement was signed by Amr Abu Al-Enein, Chairman of EgyptAir, and Yasser Timo, General Manager of Sudan Airways.

The agreement also stipulated the modernization of the Sudan Airways fleet, the management of networks, the development of maintenance activities and other services related to quality and technical accreditation.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Minister of Civil Aviation, Mohamed Manar, and the Sudanese Deputy Ambassador Khaled el-Sheikh.

Manar praised the partnership between the two companies with the aim of enhancing trade exchange and activating travel and aviation traffic.

He pointed out that the agreement comes within the framework of the Egyptian government's plan to strengthen relations with Sudan and transfer Egyptian expertise to the Sudanese side.

On his part, the Director General of Sudan Airways expressed his happiness at signing the agreement with EgyptAir, which has extensive experiences, trained human cadres and good technical capabilities.

He also praised the history of EgyptAir for being the first airline that was ever established in Africa and the Middle East.
