Egypt Welcomes Formation of New Tunisian Government

On Monday, Egypt welcomed the formation of the new Tunisian government headed by Naglaa Bouden. It praised the sincere national efforts made by the Tunisian state to respond to the aspirations of the Tunisian people towards prosperity and development.

In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt also expressed its confidence in the ability of the new Tunisian government to confront all the various challenges, within the framework of popular solidarity and under the wise leadership of President Kais Saied.

It affirmed that it will remain supportive of the efforts of the Tunisian leadership in its endeavors towards consolidating the pillars of stability in Tunisia and achieving progress and development, in a manner that preserves the capabilities of its brotherly people and preserves the national institutions of the state.

The statement added that Egypt is looking forward to working with the new government to improve the distinguished bilateral cooperation frameworks between the two brotherly countries. It also seeks to strengthen consultation mechanisms on various issues of common interest.

It stated that the countries have close ties that bring them together at various levels and maximize the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
