International Cooperation Minister Rania Al-Mashat said on Thursday that Egypt's partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) was "constructive & impactful ."
Al-Mashat said in a tweet that Egypt is a founding member and is the first destination for EBRD investments in the southern and eastern Mediterranean regions (SEMED).

She added, "We look forward to expanding our portfolio and enhancing our participation."
It is noteworthy that EBRD's investments in Egypt amounted to more than €1 billion in 2020, out of €2.13 billion that the bank invested in 48 projects in the Mediterranean region.
