Egypt to See Rare Venus-Mercury Conjunction

Egypt will see on Friday rare conjunction between Venus and Mercury. The distance between both planets will be only 0.4 degrees.

The rare event will be happened again after at least 12 years according to Astronomer Professor at the National Institute for Astronomical Research Dr. Ashraf Tadres.

He explained that the phenomena will start immediately after the sunset, and it will be concluded at 8 o'clock in Cairo.

It will be visible to the naked eye, however, small telescopes could be useful for observing the little Mercury as it will be darker than it was in early May.

Sky events lovers should take several features into consideration such as the artificial lights of the cities, the stability of the weather, and pollution.

It is worthy to mention that tonight the whole region will observe supermoon phenomena, however, Asia, Australia, the Americas, and the Pacific countries will see a rare lunar eclipse.
