Egypt Sends Urgent Medical Aid to Tunisia

On Saturday, Egypt sent 21 tons and 566 kilograms of medical aid to Tunisia to back the state's medical care system virus-hit country fight against pandemic, according to Dr. Hala Zayed, the minister of health.

This aid was sent by two military jets upon directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and within the framework of continued Egyptian support and solidarity with friendly and brotherly countries in various crises and adversities.

In the same context, Dr. Khaled Megahed, the spokesperson of the ministry of health, revealed that the soon-to-land batch of medical aids include medicines, medical supplies to compete against the challenges face the medical system in Tunisia.

Remdesivir COVID-19 treatment doses, oxygen tankers, surgical masks, medical gloves, and other suppliers were included.

Megahed assested that Egypt will continue providing Tunisia with any medical aid that support the medical care system.
