On Friday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 913 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 353,923.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 20237 nationwide after the ministry announced 65 deaths.

About 549 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 294,354.

The country’s fourth wave of the virus is in full force, with daily cases seeing a tenfold increase than what was recorded at the end of July.

The government announced last month that Egypt has administrated a total of 35 million coronavirus vaccine doses. All types of vaccines have been provided by Egypt to fight the pandemic.

In addition, Ministry of Health installed some vaccination spots in several metro stations such as the Al-Shohadaa, and the Al-Sadat.

The first two vaccination spots attached were at the Al-Sadat station, and it received more than 500 persons last week.

It is expected that another 14 vaccination cabinets will be installed in transition stations such as the Al Sadat, the Al Shohadaa, and the Al Ataba stations, alongside another 8 vaccination spots in stations that are visited by the majority of metro services users such as the Shubra Al Khiema, the New El Marg, the Gamal Abdel Nasser, and the Helwan stations.
