Egypt Reports 899 New Coronavirus Cases, 63 Deaths

On Tuesday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 899 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 353,923.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 20,172 nationwide after the ministry announced 63 deaths.

About 741 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 294,354.

On November 14, the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) announced the start of clinical trials for CoviVacc, the country’s first coronavirus vaccine.

The authority confirmed that the vaccine is a fruitful outcome of cooperation between the National Research Center and Vaccine Valley Company.
