Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 871 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 385575.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 21752 nationwide after the ministry announced 25 deaths.

About 539 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 320563.

Egypt has managed so far to vaccinate around 50 million people against the Coronavirus.

The country’s vaccination campaign started in January 2021 using various types of imported and locally made vaccines and vaccinating millions of citizens.

It is worthy to mention that Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry, said that the fourth wave of Coronavirus in Egypt began to fade away.

Abdel Ghaffar added that there are several features that prove the beginning of the fourth wave’s end.

Regarding the process of giving booster vaccine doses, he noted that all people who received the second dose of vaccine six months ago will receive a new message of the place and date of the booster shot.
