Egypt Registers 901 New COVID-19 Cases, 57 Deaths

On Wednesday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 901 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the country’s total up to 353,024.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 20,109 nationwide after the ministry announced 57 deaths.

About 239 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 29,3613.

On November 14, the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) announced the start of clinical trials for CoviVacc, the country’s first coronavirus vaccine.

The authority confirmed that the vaccine is a fruitful outcome of cooperation between the National Research Center and Vaccine Valley Company.
