Egypt is receiving a shipment of one million and 500 thousand doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, today ,to be distributed to the vaccination centers in the Republic.
The Ministry of Health and Population urged the citizens to wear the face mask in public transportation to protect against and limit the spread of COVID-19, stressing the importance of being careful to wear it for protection and reducing the chances of infection.
The Ministry of Health and Population also called on citizens to register for the vaccine, saying that the Coronavirus vaccine of all types is safe and effective and stimulates the immune system to form antibodies to protect the body from the virus, noting that the effectiveness of vaccination reaches 90%.
Last week, the Ministry of Health and Population revealed that Egypt received one million doses of the Chinese Sinovac vaccine.
The ministry added that these doses will be distributed to vaccination centers in the Republic.
