The Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) organized on Saturday the Longest Ramadan “Iftar” table in the world. The number of attendants during the function reached 7000; the table was about 3000 meters long.

This memorable event was held under the supervision of Chairman of ACUD Ahmed Zaki Abdeen.

The 'Maidatul Rahman' - meaning mercy table, which spread around Cairo throughout the holy month offering the poor with an open invitation to Iftar, was organized in the presence of the new capital’s partners as well as a delegation of the Guinness World Records.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar when Muslims abstain from drinking and eating between the rising and setting of the sun. Iftar is the meal eaten by Muslims after sunset during Ramadan.
