Egypt Inks MoU with Guinea to Cooperate in Museum Sector

Dr Khalid El Enani, Minister of Antiquities, has just inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mohamed Tore, Guinea Foreign Minister to cooperate in museum sector in general.

The two countries will coordinate cooperation between the Egyptian Museum and the Guinean National Museum in Conakry, the capital city of Guinea in special.

It is worth to mention that Egypt and Guinea cooperate fruitfully in many fields.

Ambassador Magid Mossleh, General Supervisor of International Relations at the Ministry of Antiquities, said the MoU inked between Egypt and Guinea includes joint scientific cooperation in museums.

Experts of the two countries are going to cooperate in implementing and publishing a number of archeological research papers.

Curators of Guinea will receive technical training in how to arrange artifacts to spread the cultural heritage of their country.

Egypt is preparing to ink a number of MoUs with African states to cooperate cooperate in cultural and antiquities fields.

The agreement that has been signed with Guinea is one of aspects of cooperation with the African states.

Egypt has supplied Congo, Senegal, Burundi, Cameron and Kenya with replicas of artifacts of Ancient Egypt civilization and numerous scientific publications.

The Ministry of Antiquities seeks to train staffs of museums and public libraries in the other African states.

As Egypt chairs the African Union (AU), nationals of the African states as the Egyptian citizens throughout 2019.

The Africans got permits to visit museums and antiquities areas in Cairo, Alexandria, Suez, Ismailia over the period of 2019 AFCON held in Egypt.

African ambassadors to Egypt attended ceremonies of opening the antiquities areas after developing.

A host of Egyptian officials have attended opening of Museum of Civilizations in Senegal in the west of Africa.
