Egypt Has Leading Position on Global Investment Map: Aboul Enein

TV anchor, Ahmed Mousa highlighted in his talk show "Ala Masolity" (On My Responsibility), well-known Egyptian businessman Mohamed Aboul Enein, the honorary president of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliament, word during a meeting at the General Union of Chambers of Commerce (GUCC).

Aboul Enein said that the industry has suffered great injustice that led to the collapse of large enterprises, noting that it is considered the engine of growth. Moreover, he noted that the state should pay great interest to the industry, as a way to compete in international markets.

Moreover, the businessman stressed that there is a difference between policies and legislation, in regard to the country’s building.

“Egypt has to be an advanced country,” Aboul Enein said.”Investment, manufacturing and production are keys to progress.”

“We have achieved a miracle in a few years,” he confirmed, pointing out to the noticeable improvement in the country's economic indicators, supported by higher GDP growth rates, increased investments and exports, and a pickup in tourism.

President of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliament added that the success of the Egyptian investor at home is a clear message to the world and foreign investors about the improvement of the investment climate in Egypt.

“The investment atmosphere in Egypt should be the best in the region,” Aboul Enein said.

In addition, he called for reconsidering the prevalence of laws to improve the investment climate in the Egyptian market as a whole, such as the laws of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), and the special economic zone(SEZ), which has many advantages such as real estate tax exemption.

Aboul Enein also stressed that Egypt has a remarkable position on the global investment map.

On the other hand, he referred to the importance of establishing specialized industries at the geographical level and the need to reach a zero unemployment rate in Egypt’s provinces like Damietta furniture city.
