The Board of Directors of the Supreme Council of Antiquities decided, during its last meeting, to extend rental exemptions for bazaars and cafeterias in archaeological sites until April.

The council had previously decided to exempt tenants from paying the rent for the months of June, July and August 2020, with the exemption being extended until the end of February 2021.

This comes within the framework of the state's keenness to provide the necessary support to the tourism sector and its workers, especially in light of the economic repercussions of the pandemic.

The Board of Directors also approved a free visit to all museums and archaeological sites for the medical teams and their families, in appreciation of the role they provided during the outbreak of the deadly virus.

Amid full implementation of all applicable precautionary measures and health safety controls, each member of the medical team can accompany up to 3 inpiduals with them.
