On Friday, Spokesman for Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Hafez condemned the storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli occupation forces.
In a statement, Hafez also condemned the violence that followed the storming of the Palestinians in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which resulted in the injury and arrest of dozens of worshipers.
Hafez stressed the necessity of self-restraint and providing full protection for Muslim worshipers and allowing them to perform Islamic rituals in Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is a purely Islamic endowment for Muslims.
Egypt's Foreign Ministry spokesman reiterated the rejection of violence and incitement in all its forms, including calls to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.
He warned of the consequences of this on stability and security in the Palestinian territories and the region.
