Egypt deeply condemned, on Sunday, the Houthi militia’s continuing terrorist operations against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the continuous targeting of civilian areas and vital institutions.

Saudi Arabia confirmed Sunday that one of its oil storage yards at the Ras Tanura port was targeted by a Houthi drone attack on a petroleum tank farm at Ras Tanura port, according to a statement from a source at the Kingdom’s Energy Ministry.

The attack did not result in any injury or loss of life or property, authorities from Saudi Arabia’s Energy Ministry confirmed.

“The source from the Saudi Arabian Energy Ministry said that the Kingdom affirms that these sabotage attacks are a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, and that, to the extent that they are treacherous and cowardly targeting the Kingdom, they target, to a greater extent, the global economy,” a statement released by the Saudi Press Agency read.

"Egypt reaffirms its strong rejection and disapproval of such despicable attacks that are inconsistent with international and humanitarian law, and hinder efforts to bring peace to Yemen, as well as undermine the security and stability of the region,” Egyptian Foreign Ministry’s statement read.

The statement manifested that Egypt stressed that its government and people back the government and people of Saudi Arabia, asserting Cairo’s solidarity with all the measures taken by the Saudi Kingdom to confront these blatant attacks, and to preserve its security, stability and sovereignty.
