Egypt strongly denounced the Houthi militia's attempt to target Abha International Airport using a bomb-laden drone which was intercepted by the joint forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen.
This incident resulted in a number of injuries and financial damages.
According to a statement issued by Foreign Ministry, Egypt stressed its firm position of supporting Saudi Arabia in confronting these terrorist acts targeting civilian areas and safe civilians in the Kingdom.
It also reiterated its support for the measures taken by the Kingdom to preserve the security, stability, and safety of its citizens and expats against these heinous attacks which represent a violation of the rules of international law and a threat to the security and safety of civil aviation, air navigation, and stability in the region.
