The Egyptian military has “categorically denied” any form of military cooperation with Israel, urging caution regarding information circulated on social media and unverified accounts.
In an official statement, Egyptian Armed Forces spokesperson Colonel Gharib Abdel Hafez firmly refuted claims circulating online that Egypt is assisting Israel in its military operations. “The Egyptian Armed Forces categorically deny what has been circulated on social media and by suspicious accounts regarding alleged military assistance to Israel,” Abdel Hafez stated, emphasizing that there is no form of cooperation with Israel.
Additionally, Cairo News reported that a high-level source dismissed as “unfounded” recent claims by what it termed “hostile media outlets,” which alleged that the German vessel Katharina had docked in Alexandria carrying military supplies intended for Israel. The source accused “elements opposed to the Egyptian state” of spreading such “falsehoods” as part of an effort to tarnish Egypt’s longstanding and historic support for the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people.
The Egyptian Armed Forces called for public vigilance and accuracy when sharing information, especially on sensitive matters related to regional stability and Egypt’s role in the Middle East.
