The Ministry of Transport said on Wednesday that it has updated the subway schedule to comply with the new curfew hours, which is expected to be applied on Thursday.
The three direction transit trains will operate from 6 AM until 7:15 - 7:45 PM, each according to its schedule.
The Minister of Transport, Kamel El-Wazir, instructed the Egyptian Co. For Metro Management and Operation to increase the number of trains to avoid congestion, amid precautionary measures taken to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly extended the curfew hours on all public roads until 8:00 pm, starting Wednesday and for another two weeks.
