EasyJet Holidays announced that it would launch holidays to Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada for the first time in 2020.

The holidaymaker will sell packages to the Britain's' favorite resorts in the Red Sea with travel deals to 24 hotels.

In this regard, Paul Bixby, Easyjet Holidays’ strategy and sourcing director, said there was “a big opportunity” in Egypt, especially after the UK lifting the flight ban on Sharm El Sheikh after four years.

“EasyJet Holidays has got that ability to move quickly,” Bixby noted, adding: “We will offer a curated selection of hotels that we know are popular in Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh entering the summer in 2020."

The tour operator is considering 10 or 12 hotels in each resort.

Egypt is a popular destination for British holidaymakers with cheap deals to the Red Sea, according to the Sun.

In 2018, Egypt witnessed an increase in the number of British tourists by 39% compared to the previous year.

EasyJet isn't the only holidaymaker that benefited from the UK resumed flight to Sharm El Sheikh.

Also, the Red Sea Holidays announced their first charter flights to Sharm El Sheikh will take off from Sunday 22nd December from London Gatwick.

TUI had already launched trips to several destinations in Egypt including Sharm El Sheikh, one of each starts from £407 (€471.86).

It is noticeable that the British holiday providers are rushing to offer competitive trips for the Britons in Egypt, a matter which boosts UK tourism in Egypt again.
