According to Reuters, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and his wife Queen Máxima broke their vacation in Greece yesterday after being criticized for traveling in the middle of the coronavirus outbreak.

The King and Queen announced in an official statement released by the royal palace that they noticed the people’s reactions to their vacation on the different media platforms and they do not want any place for doubts about following and imposing the COVID-19 precautionary measures.

Despite the King’s vacation not breaking any of the imposed precautionary measures in the Netherlands including the measures imposed only days ago, the government still advised against traveling unless utterly necessary.

Also, the King and Queen had apologized back in August for their previous vacation in Greece after posting a picture of them without following the precautionary measures.

It is really noteworthy that the Netherlands reported yesterday Friday about 8 thousand new Coronavirus cases which is considered an increased record there.
