The Iraqi Ministry of Health announced that the number of suffocation cases due to the dust storm that hit a number of governorates has risen to 4,000.

The ministry said in a statement reported by the Iraqi (Alsumaria News) channel today, Monday, that all cases of suffocation resulting from the dust storm received the necessary health care.

The “Iraqi Ministry of Health” announced earlier today that two thousand cases of suffocation had been recorded due to the dust storm, noting that most of the cases of suffocation were mild to moderate.

Most of the Iraqi governorates are experiencing a severe dust storm that has led to a lack of visibility, while a number of governorates have decided to suspend their official working hours.

Iraq is affected by the extension of the air depression coming from North Africa, which led to a rise in the maximum temperatures, and its impact will recede due to the extension of the high air coming from the Mediterranean Sea.
