DUBAI, Mar. 14 (SEE) — The RTA (Dubai Transport and Road Authority) installed cutting-edge cameras in 4 of its shopping centers to observe the facial expression of their customers before and after their transactions.

Dubai is all about happiness. Apparently these super smart cameras are designed with a special system which calculates how satisfied the customers are with the service received by sending a detailed report to a dashboard. How cool is that!

“The smart happiness index monitors the variation in customers’ happiness level from the moment of stepping into the centre until the time of leaving and links it with the level of service delivered,” said Maher Shirah, director of Smart Services, at RTA’s Corporate Technology Support Services Sector.

It even gets better! Those cheeky little cameras can take up to 30 frames of people’s expressions per second at a seven-meter range. That is all done, of course, without saving people’s images to protect customer privacy.

So if you’re happy and you know it say cheeese!
