Culture Min. Attends Inauguration of 4th Int'l Forum "Our Children 2020"

Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, witnessed the opening ceremony of “The Fourth International Forum for the Arts of Children With Special Abilities -"Our Children 2020", which is held under the slogan "Wahshtuna".

The Forum is headed by Suhair Abdel Kader and it is organized with the participation of 36 Arab and foreign countries.

The ceremony was organized on the grand stage of the Egyptian Opera House and attended by a number Ministers, public figures and artists including Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad, Dr. Nevin Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning.

Abdel Dayem said that supporting the people with special abilities is an educational and social duty and a lofty message delivered to the fans of arts and culture.

Abdel Dayem valued the artistic and literary talents of them, stressing that the children with special abilities are the discovery of this era and the supplementary pillar of society to achieve construction and development.

In the same context, she indicated that the Ministry of Culture is keen to provide all forms of support to all the activities presented to the people with special abilities.

On her part, Suhair thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the spiritual father of the forum, for sponsoring the Forum since its first edition.

Suhair also thanked the participating ministries for supporting and sponsoring the forum, including the Ministry of Culture and its cultural sectors for their insistence to hold the forum and its creative workshops.

During the ceremony, the Ministers of Culture and Immigration and Solidarity honored a number of contributors and those who supported people of determination.

Those honored included the late Azza El-Ashmawy, former head of the National Center for Childhood and Motherhood- received by her son Mustafa Megawar, writer and producer Hisham Suleiman, the lyric poet Amir Toaima and the artist Ilham Shaheen.

The ceremony included presenting many musical performances including 'Oud' performance by the couple Ghassan and Dina Abdel Hamid, "Semsimia" performance by Bilal Ali and Maryam Najdi- they played the national anthem using 'Oud', violin and Semsimia .

The forum included the works of the people with special abilities in the fields of feature films, documentary films, artistic and lyrical performances, as well as a set of training workshops to qualify “people of determination” to use technology, photography and dancing techniques.
