Dr. Zahi Hawass, Egyptian archaeologist and the former Minister of Antiquities said that the world of the pharaohs allowed uneducated people to write stories that have no basis in truth.

Hawass pointed out that he had read a book in the US says that someone heard King Khufu speaking at night.

During his interview on Masaa DMC talk show program aired on dmc satellite channel on Monday, Hawass stated that he entered the Great Pyramid at night alone to prove what was mentioned in the American book.

He said: "It was so dark inside the pyramid and I was afraid to be harmed by electricity if I switched the light on.

"I sat in the burial chamber in the pyramid,” Hawass said. “I have not heard anything but the rats and some bugs` sounds, and I didn't hear the voice of Khufu or anything like that."

He pointed out that the talks about Khufu talking is not related to reality and merely mocking, commenting: "The phone calls that come to me that there are antiquities somewhere and request me to go and receive it, are fake and done by thieves; a lot of people were the victims of it."
