Dhafer L’Abidine Not to Participate in Ramadan 2022

Tunisian actor, Dhafer L'Abidine will not participate in Ramadan 2022 drama marathon.

In a press statement, the actor affirmed that he will not participate in the drama marathon with any project whether in Egypt or elsewhere.

He is participating in the activities of the 43rd Cairo International Film Festival, with the film "Ghodwa", which won the admiration of many stars and the public.

The film marks L’Abidine’s directorial debut, which he also stars, produces, and co-written.

He co-wrote the script alongside Egyptian filmmaker Ahmed Amer as well as produced the film through his company Double A, in collaboration with Nomadis Images and MAD Solutions.

The plot revolves around Habib and his son Ahmed, who after years of living apart, are connected once more due to Habib’s illness.

“Ghodwa” also stars Najla Ben Abdallah, Bahri Rahali, Ghanem Zrelli, Rabeb Srairi Ahmed Berrhouma, and others.

The actor will next appear in the third season of the TV Series “Aroos Beirut” (Bride of Beirut).

The series centers around the love story of Fares (L’Abidine) and Soraya (Carmen Bsaibes), who works as a singer in a nightclub, and the problems the couple face due to the rejection of those around them to their relationship, especially Fares’ mother.

The third season will witness many developments between Soraya and Fares, as she decides to return to singing to make money following the financial crisis that befell Al-Daher’s household at the end of the second season.

The new season also stars Takla Chamoun, Joe Trad, Mohamed Al Ahmad, Maram Ali, Dhoha Al-Dabes, Fares Yaghi, Jad Abu Ali, and others.
