Today, Friday, demonstration stages by supporters of Shiite leader Muqtada al-Sadr began in several provinces in Iraq in order to demand the dissolution of Parliament.
On the other hand, another demonstration was mounted by supporters of the “Coordination Framework”, near the suspension bridge in the center of the capital, Baghdad.
The protesters announced an open sit-in in order to expedite the formation of a national government.
The Iraqi News Agency stated that the governorates of middle and southern Iraq witnessed the start of demonstrations this afternoon in support of the demand to dissolve parliament, which was raised by the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr.
The demonstrators demanded the dissolution of Parliament due to its inability, according to them, to perform its constitutional duties and to hold the killers of the protesters accountable.
