A Spanish newspaper revealed on Tuesday that forward Ousmane Dembele would not be among Barcelona Squad for the upcoming five weeks.

A few days ago, Barcelona announced that Dembélé suffered a hamstring injury during the Blaugrana's opening game in La Liga against Athletic Bilbao on Friday, August 16.

"The French international player will be out for the upcoming five weeks," Mundodeportivo newspaper reported.

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez also suffered a right leg injury during Friday's clash, but they did not unveil how long he would be out of Blaugrana's squad as his availability depended on his recovery.

Dembélé, Suarez will miss their side's second game against Real Betis on Sunday, August 25 at Camp Nou (21:00 CLT).

Both players joined Lionel Messi after he sustained a right calf injury during the Barca training session ahead of the new season.

The Spanish club released a statement confirming Messi's injury. “First team player Lionel Messi, who had returned from his summer break for training on Monday, withdrew from the session due to discomfort in his right leg,” the statement read.

The Spanish League champions suffered a shock defeat in their opening game against Athletic Bilbao. Barca were punished when substitute Aduriz found the net with a stunning 89th-minute scissor-kick.
