Defense Minister Attends "Bright Star" Final Phase

The Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki  attended on Friday the final stage of the Bright Star 2021 military exercise at the Mohamed Naguib Military Base in Egypt.

According to the military spokesman, senior commanders of the armed forces participating in the exercise also attended the final stage.

Zaki conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to all the 20 countries participating in the exercise. The Minister of Defense also praised the outstanding performance of the participating forces and their ability to carry out joint tasks professionally after making the most of expertise transfer.

The final stage of the activities included a project of tactical shooting with live ammunition with the participation of various forces, in addition to training activities on first aid and field medical evacuation of injured elements by equipped ambulances and helicopters, in addition to the STX, and CPX training.

The Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Army Lieutenant-General Mohamed Farid also attended the drills in which the participating forces were trained to eradicate a terrorist outpost, secure a residential area.

Bright Star is one of the most important joint military drill that the General Command of the Egyptian Armed Forces is keen to implement in order to strengthen military relations between Egypt, Arab and foreign countries, and exchange expertise.
