The CW released Tuesday the first trailer for the DC's latest TV series “Naomi”, which is set to debut on the streamer on January 11.

The series is centering around Naomi McDuffie (played by Kaci Walfall), an inquisitive girl who starts to question if superheroes are real and end up discovering much more than she expected.

The footage is introduced by Walfall and features the protagonist's first encounter with a blurred figure, who is probably Superman, which is the subject of an investigative blog she keeps.

It also features the manifestation of the heroine's powers which makes her targeted by Akira (Stephanie March) and Zumbado (Cranston Johnson), who decide they can “use her”.

The trailer also presents Dee (Alexander Wraith), a winged alien from the planet Thanagar who serves as Naomi’s mentor and protector.

The series is produced by Ava Duvernay and also features Brian Brightman, Camila Moreno, Barry Watson, Mouzam Makkar, Mary-Charles Jones, Will Meyers, Daniel Puig, and Aidan Gemme.

It marks Wallfall’s first major role after guest-starring in "Army Wives", "Power", "Person of Interest", and most recently, "The Equalizer".

The first look at the series was unveiled last October at the 2021 DC FanDome convention.
