Culture Min. to Launch "Summer Opera Festivals" in 2 Cities

Tomorrow, Dr. Inas Abdel-Dayem, Minister of Culture, in company of Dr. Magdy Saber, Head of the Egyptian Opera House, will inaugurate "Summer Opera Festivals" in Alexandria and Damanhour.

 

The festival is under the supervision of Dr. Magdy Baghdadi, head of the Artistic House in The Opera House.

It will begin with the Roman stage in the city of Thaghr with a celebration of "Ayamna El Helwa Ensemble" led by Maestro Mohamed Osman.

 

Abdel-Dayem confirmed that the festivals in Alexandria and Damanhour are outlets for the public to taste varied artistic colors, adding that it comes as part of a strategy aiming at cementing Egyptian identity by presenting creative colors in the different governorates of Egypt.

 

Abdel-Dayem urged young people to select the arts, which upholds noble values and works to raise the conscience and develop awareness.

 

On his part, Saber said that the festivals in Alexandria and Damanhour will include rich and varied artistic programs : 25 concerts in three theaters, namely the Romanian, Sayed Darwish, the Opera of Alexandria and Damanhour Opera.

It will include performances by famous Egyptian and Arab bands, including the famous violinist Amr Salim, Black Thema, Aghbari track, Downtown, Soundtrack Trac, Nafikah, Eastern Cracker, Tamer Ashour, Ali Al Hajjar, Nesma Mahgoub, Khaled Selim, Marimba player Nesma Abdel Aziz, Marwa Nagy and Maestro Alaa Yassin Band, Mei Farouk, A Yaman Bahr Darwish, Ghalia Ben Ali and Mohamed Mohsen.

 

It is noteworthy that concert of "Ayamna Al- Helwa" includes a series of musical works of the nineties of the last century, in addition to a selection of Arab songs, music and works of monologue .
