Dr Inas Abdel-Dayem, Minister of Culture, met Ramon Casares, the Spanish Ambassador to Cairo, and Candio Carbis Estrada, the Spanish Cultural Advisor, to discuss the ways to support the joint cultural and artistic cooperation in the coming period in light of Corona pandemic.
During the meeting, Abdel Dayem emphasized the strength and depth of relations between Egypt and Spain, pointing to the richness of creativity in the European countries on the historical and modern levels.
Abdel Dayem affirmed the emotional and cultural convergence between the two friendly nations, emphasizing the need to support cultural and artistic exchange between the two countries during the coming period.
The artistic exchange will be implemented through several innovative projects through modern technological platforms to overcome the challenges of Corona pandemic and to consolidate the friendship ties between the two friendly peoples.
Moreover, the minister expressed her happiness with the proposals of the Spanish side, emphasizing that this cooperation is considered to be an addition to human civilization in various fields to illuminate the path of knowledge for the coming generations.
On his part, the Spanish ambassador affirmed his follow-up to the cultural movement in Egypt and The Egyptian achievements, praising the measures taken by the Ministry of Culture to continue delivering its massage, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances of Corona pandemic.
The diplomat added that his country is always interested in the cultural and artistic communication with Egypt as a pivotal rich country with its plurality and creative persity.
Besides, he expressed his desire to exchange artistic and cultural performances with Egypt by broadcasting number of artistic performances on the Egyptian culture YouTube channel.
In addition, he showed interest to participating in “ the Cultural Relations Initiative” launched by the Minister of Culture, to shed light on the cultural ties between Egypt and Spain and to promote the idea of the civilizational and cultural dialogue.
