The Minister of Culture describes the batch of "Start Your Dream" project in Al-Fayoum as a qualitative theater troupe.
As a continuation of the first operational phase of “Start Your Dream” project- after graduating the previous batch in Assiut governorate, Dr. Inas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Fayoum, handed over the certificates of the graduation of Al- Fayoum batch that included 53 trainees.
The ceremony was organized by The General Organization of Culture Palaces, headed by Dr. Ahmed Awad.
The minister described the graduation of this batch as a qualitative theater group, stressing that the graduation of the first executive phase of "Start Your Dream" project to continue implementing the strategy aimed at discovering talented people and preparing a new generation of creative people to participate in achieving the sustainable development.
The project invests the energies of young people to enrich the theatrical field, as it is one of the methods of raising awareness and developing society.
She noted that the project “Start your dream” in the governorates comes as one of the ways to achieve cultural justice for all layers of society, praising the high artistic level of the trainees during their training course.
She confirmed that the people of Upper Egypt possess unique creative capabilities.
Furthermore, she thanked those in charge of the project and urged them to make more efforts, expressing her full confidence in their ability to develop it and improve its content.
On his part, Dr. Al-Ansari also valued the efforts of the Ministry of Culture to enrich intellectual and artistic life in Fayoum Governorate and in Upper Egypt regions, hailing the great interest in sponsoring and developing the capabilities of its creative sons.
Al-Ansari said that "Start Your Dream" workshop, since its launching, has succeeded in attracting and discovering a group of distinguished talents from different ages, confirming the fertility of Egypt in all fields.
The head of Culture Palaces organization said that the training workshop “Start Your Dream in Al-Fayoum” lasted for 6 months, 435 young men applied to join the first batch-53 passed the exams, 19 females.
He indicated that the first operational phase of the project witnessed the graduation of the first batches in the governorate of Assuit.
Abdel Dayem announced that this batch were approved as a qualitative theater group for the first time, directing to generalize the project to various governorates of Egypt,
She added that the first batch of the initiative is scheduled to be graduated in Sharkia Governorate during the next period.
The celebration was held at Al- Fayoum Culture Palace theater with the application of all precautionary measures to limit the spread of Corona virus.
The ceremony was attended by the artist Hisham Atwa, Vice President of the Culture Palaces organization, Dr. Kamal Attia, professor in the Academy of Arts and the supervisor of the initiative, the director Ahmed Taha, the artistic director of the workshop, and a number of executive leaders in the Ministry.
The graduates of the batch presented a mixture of international and Egyptian works including a theatrical performance entitled "Oedipus Sophocles" and others.
