CAIRO, SEPTEMBER 12(SEE): Fresh off placing second  in 2018's World Cup and Modric reaching glory becoming the best player in Europe, The Croatian national team is struggling to maintain it's position as the second best national team in the world.

Croatia followed their World Cup success with a lackluster 1-1 friendly draw against Portugal last week, but in their first competitive match since the 4-2 defeat at the hands of France, The Team lost to Spain the biggest defeat the nation has ever suffered with the 6-0 loss in the UEFA Nations League. Their second  worst loss came in 2009 in a World Cup qualifying match against England when the side suffered a 5-1 loss at Wembley.
