COVID-19: 33 Mosques Closed in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced on Wednesday that 33 mosques in 7 regions were temporarily closed after a number of cases of COVID-19 were confirmed inside them.

 

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), a total of 994 mosques were closed in the Kingdom within 85 days, 950 of them were opened after the completion of sterilization, in the context of ensuring the safety of worshippers.

 

The COVID-19 cases have been recorded in more than 210 states, as the number of Coronavirus cases worldwide exceeded 147 million while many countries have entered the third wave of the pandemic.
