Elbashir presented many designs in the d'amour material, which available in Sudan at the cheapest prices.

She presented art and fine taste to the material, turning it into a distinctive and elegant clothing piece.

Her designs were worn by many famous figures, such as Egyptian jewelry designer Azza Fahmy, and award-winning composer Yanni, who wore a Sudanese d'amour ‘Jalabiya’ at a concert in Abu Dhabi.

In addition, Elbashir participated in several exhibitions in Egypt, Dubai, Qatar, and Kenya. Her last show was the “Turathna Exhibition”, which was held in Egypt.

The designer noted that she was looking for distinction, which she found in the d'amour material, as it is made of natural cotton, so it would feel soft on the body, allows it to breathe as well as suitable for the hot climate of the country.

She presented designs that suit different tastes and ages. Her first exhibition was hosted in El Sawy Culture Wheel, which witnessed a high turnout from Egyptians and foreigners.

The designer continued to present different designs created by excellence and sophistication in every piece, reviving the local material, which is weaved in a precise fit to suit men's designs and loose fabric (soft and delicate) for women.

* Fashion Identity

Over the eleven years, the designer did not obscure the identity of the d'amour, the beige cloth wasn’t dyed or altered, but she might add simple embroidery or fabric.

Elbashir noted that it was very important for her not to obscure the original color of the d'amour.

“I just added few additions to the designs to keep pace with fashion,” she added.

Elbashir also shared the rule she is following when doing a photo session in a historical region, in Sudan.

“I make sure to present the Sudanese identity through designs and link it with culture, heritage, and tourism,” she added.

The designer added that she had held photo sessions in Jebel Barkal, Nubian pyramids, Al-Tabia, Tayeb Salih village, and the National Archeology Museum.

* Clothes reflect your personality

Elbashir advised those who wished to wear good is forget the quote that goes “Eat what you like and wear what people like,”.

“If you want to be chic and elegant, wear what you like, what is suitable for your body and reflects your personality," she added.

It is necessary for the outfits to reflect your spirit and personality as well as reflect what you like and not what people like.”
