Coronavirus Death Toll Rises to 636 in China

China’s National Health Commission said, on Friday, that the death toll from the new Coronavirus has risen to 636.

The National Health Commission added that the total number of the infection cases in the country has risen to 31161.

Earlier, the Chinese Ambassador to Cairo, Liao Liqiang, announced that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi sent a message of solidarity to his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, to express Egypt’s support and sympathy with the Chinese people over the outbreak of coronavirus.

El-Sisi also hailed the efforts exerted by the Chinese government in confronting the deadly virus.

The ambassador expressed, in a press conference held last Monday at the embassy headquarters in Cairo, his deep thanks to the Egyptian leadership in supporting and sympathizing with the people of China.

He also displayed some messages of solidarity that were sent by some Egyptians people to show sympathy with the Chinese people.

Last week, the United States warned its citizens not to travel to China after Beijing announced that the death toll from the new Coronavirus has risen to more than 200 while the World Health Organization declared coronavirus outbreak global health emergency.

Health authorities in Beijing urged people not to shake hands but to use a conventional cupped-hand gesture instead of saluting.
