The US Johns Hopkins University said that the number of confirmed cases of the emerging coronavirus “Covid-19” around the world rose to 576819580.
The university added- in the latest statistics published on its website, today, Saturday – that the total deaths around the world rose to 6399498.
The United States recorded the largest number of cases around the world, which amounted to more than 91.3 million, while India’s toll exceeded 44 million, ranking second, followed by Brazil with more than 33.8 million.
According to the latest data, the United States topped the list of countries in terms of the number of deaths due to infection with the virus with more than one million and 29 thousand deaths, followed by Brazil in second place with 678 thousand and 313 deaths, and then India came in third place with a total of 526 thousand and 357 deaths
