Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, inaugurated the activities of the first edition of the ManuTech Exhibition and Conference, which is being held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The conference and exhibition is held within the activities of the 26th edition of the International Conference on Technology in the Middle East and Africa, Cairo (ICT), which will be held over 4 days from 27-30 November at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo.

The Minister inspected the exhibition pavilions and met with international and local companies that support the industrial sector using the latest modern technology tools. The Minister was accompanied during the tour by a number of leaders of the ministry, namely, Amr Mahfouz, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency, and Hossam Othman, Vice President of ITIDA.

The ManuTech Exhibition received presidential sponsorship in its first launch as a unique and highly specialized technical event aimed at shedding light on the latest technological innovations that succeeded in creating a boom in the global manufacturing sector and brought about qualitative leaps in the capabilities of different countries to adopt advanced industry as an important resource for export and economic development.

The launch of the exhibition comes at a crucial time in the level of the aspirations of the new republic, and in light of the Egyptian state's endeavor to use its unprecedented capabilities in possessing strong infrastructure, various energy sources, creative cadres, digital capabilities and free trade agreements to transform into a strong industrial country whose exports amount to $100 billion annually.

The conference also represents a promising Egyptian and regional platform to mobilize industrial and technology men, government officials and global partners to exchange experiences, discuss ideas and study the abundant opportunities in the manufacturing technology sector.

The conference will discuss, through several sessions, the exceptional opportunities that loom before Egypt to maximize its role in global supply chains, especially at the level of the electronics industry.

The ManuTech conference is a new proactive step from Cairo ICT, which plays a pivotal role in opening the way for technology to support all industrial and service sectors in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa.
